Since 1864, Stoneham Kitchens has become synonymous with crafting superior furniture and this year the British kitchen manufacturer is celebrating its 160^th anniversary. To mark the occasion we will be planting 2,000 trees over the next year to re-establish lost woodlands in Europe, while supporting its sustainability goals.

“Stoneham began by making rungs for ladders and staircase balustrades in 1864, producing our first table in 1939, and manufacturing our first fitted kitchens in the late 1960s,” explains Adrian Stoneham, MD at Stoneham Kitchens. “We source all our timber sustainably, but we wanted to go a step further for our 160^th anniversary. So, we are working with One Tree Planted to support their projects in Europe where forests have been lost.”

As well as supporting One Tree Planted, Stoneham has created new innovations in kitchen design for its birthday. This includes a bespoke ‘picture frame’ for triple or double appliances. Acting as a decorative surround for the appliances this unique feature can incorporate LED lighting to highlight the detail on the frame while illuminating ovens and much more. The frame can also be designed to match the colour and detail of worktops or splashbacks or in a complementary pattern or colour.

The luxury kitchen company manufactures one of the most comprehensive furniture collections including its in-frame (Heritage), contemporary (Avant Garde) and handleless (Latitude) collections. This will be further boosted with new kitchen ranges to commemorate its 160^th including; Chart an in-frame kitchen range with a slimmer 55mm frame and Hadlow which features an ultra-slim 10mm frame. A third new range, Matfield, boasts the appearance of an in-frame kitchen but within a single façade.
