Contemporary oak kitchen with the latest technology

The brief:
The developers of this five bedroom detached house in Surrey required a timeless contemporary kitchen design, perfect for a family and adorned with the latest in technological appliances. They also wanted to make the most out of the house’s downstairs space, affirming the rest of the new build home’s fresh feel with a striking, ageless kitchen.

The solution:
Strata, one of Stoneham’s most distinctive ranges, was selected for the furniture of the kitchen. Accentuated by polished steel handles, the cabinets produce a clean-lined, linear look, visually elongated with horizontally grained centre panels. With the addition of black mirror doors, the overall effect exudes sophistication.

Atop the cabinets lay sleek worktops in Misty Carrara Caesarstone, offering a glossy finish which contrasts with the organic look of the cabinets. Supported by a grey curved edge for style and practicality, the breakfast bar is lined in White Rainbow Sparkle glass, with space for up to five stools for social dining.

An illuminated ceiling bulkhead enhances the top of the room, replicating the island’s shape and incorporating an extractor fan to complement the Miele induction hob centred directly below. The hob and extractor communicate via Bluetooth for automatic function of the extractor if required. The sink boasts a state-of-the-art Quooker tap, capable of immediately dispensing boiling water, and it is lit by Sensio LED recessed lighting hidden underneath the wall units, creating an atmospheric glow throughout the kitchen.

Flaunting smart cleans lines paired with a blanched colour scheme, this elegant kitchen appears minimalistic whilst embracing some of the most traditional British aspects of home design. Constructed with a highly desirable specification, undeniable style and engulfed in spaciousness, the room is the gem of this enticing example of exceptional real estate.
