Property developers, Churchill Homes wanted to create a large elite family home of 4,560 square feet situated on Cutler House Road, one of Aberdeen’s most affluent suburbs in Milltimber. In the heart of the countryside, the developers’ vision was to match the stunning surroundings with breathtaking interiors – this is where Stoneham Kitchens came in.
Churchill Homes instructed Kitchens International, a Stoneham Kitchen centre to design the perfect open plan kitchen for the luxury five-bedroom ‘Crombie’ house.
Strata, a contemporary classic range from Stoneham was chosen for the furniture, in American Walnut. Strata features a wide-bevelled, solid timber frame, enhanced and elongated with horizontally grained centre panels. Black mirror glass was added within the furniture for a dramatic and distinctive look.
With ample space to play with, a bespoke teardrop shaped island with LED lighting sits in the centre as a focal point of the room – perfect for dining and food preparation. The sweeping curves soften the overall design add contrast to the surrounding rectangular cupboards. Directly above the island and mirroring its shape is a complementary ceiling bulkhead with integrated stainless steel extractor hood.
To enhance the exquisite design, granite worktops with a bronze antique mirror splashback were fitted creating the illusion of more space. The design also boasts the latest Siemens appliances throughout including a full height wine cabinet, ideal for entertaining guests and family. A state-of-the-art Quooker Fusion boiling water tap was also a must-have, providing the ultimate in kitchen luxury.
Churchill summarised the overall design and house as “our vision of a contemporary modern day mansion.”
