Neutral tones such as off-white, cream, grey, soft pinks, beige and greige are currently stealing the spotlight in kitchen colours. In fact, at the beginning of this year Houzz* predicted a rise in warm and soft palettes, naming greige and off-white as the colours set to be embraced during 2023. Timeless and versatile, it is no wonder neutral colours are proving popular with homeowners. Here are the neutral kitchen colours on demand at Stoneham.

Greige
As you’ve probably guessed, greige is a blend of grey and beige. Multiple shades of grey can feel cold in a kitchen, but when mixed with beige you get warm undertones, which makes a room more inviting. Greige also provides the perfect base that teams well with other neutrals and natural materials – so much so, it is difficult to get wrong.

Beige
Beige is back! Beige might conjure up negative connotations as being bland or boring, but this calming colour is having a revival, especially in kitchens. Opting for beige on your cabinets provides an elegant backdrop for your fixtures and fittings to truly stand out. You can also create personality in your design by adding contrasting colours to a kitchen feature, such as an island.

Cream
Like many neutrals, classic cream is an ideal primary colour for a kitchen. Perfect for mixing with other neutrals, darker shades, or wood, this soft palette has a warm tone that works well in both classic or contemporary kitchen designs. For extra warmth, brass accessories such as door handles, knobs and taps are the perfect complement to cream.

Off-white
An off-white shade, such as ivory, is a great choice if you want to soften the coldness that a pure white kitchen can sometimes evoke. The subtle hue provides a hint of colour that will go with everything, while still brightening your space –ideal if you have a compact kitchen. And while off-white can be teamed with bolder shades, delicate pastels such as blush pink work well at adding subtle layers and highlighting specific features in a room.
