Quiche recipes for the King’s Coronation
It was recently announced that the official dish for the King Charles III’s Coronation Big Lunch celebrations will be a quiche. But this won’t be just any quiche. The ‘Coronation Quiche’ so aptly named includes a combination of spinach, broad beans and fresh tarragon. If you fancy creating this royal recipe, then luckily Buckingham Palace have released it for us all to try (scroll down). We have also put together more recipes of this popular sharing dish so you can serve up a selection of quiche flavours with friends and family during the Coronation Big Lunch on 6-8 May.
Coronation Quiche
This royal recipe definitely deserves sampling for its light pastry and delicate flavours of spinach, broad beans and fresh tarragon. While the recipe is for six people you could double it if you wanted extra helpings. Watch the video below for a step-by-step on how to make it.
Classic Quiche Lorraine
The quiche of all quiches is by far the French classic quiche Lorraine, and no celebration should be without this staple tart. This easy recipe by the UK’s much-loved baker, Mary Berry includes streaky bacon, gruyère cheese and of course eggs, that can be rustled up in a total of 1hr and 30 minutes.

Salmon Quiche
For flavours of the sea, this salmon and asparagus quiche is a delight, but the unexpected addition to this recipe are the fennel seeds, adding a subtle sweetness to the mix. Whilst this recipe takes 2hrs and 30 minutes from start to finish, you can make it ahead of time and freeze it, saving you some cooking time in the run-up to the Coronation.

Crustless Quiche
If you are not a pastry lover then there are plenty of crustless options available you can try, including this crustless asparagus quiche. Better still, it has four types of cheese in it including ricotta, gruyère, parmesan and cheddar along with streaky bacon and asparagus (to make you feel a bit better about the rest!).

Vegan Quiche
Not forgetting those that prefer a plant-based alternative, this vegan (and gluten free) recipe takes just 45 minutes. To get the eggy flavours without using eggs combine silken tofu with gram flour and nutritional yeast. This recipe includes spinach, cherry and sundried tomatoes but is flexible so that you can put in what your taste buds desire.
