Christmas Dinner Ideas

With Christmas only a few weeks away, it’s likely you’ve already started planning your festive feast, particularly if you’re cooking for a full house. If you are still deciding what you’re going to make, we’ve picked out some different Christmas dinner ideas to ensure there’s something for everyone.

Traditional Turkey Christmas Dinner

We’re all for trying new things but sometimes it’s best to stick with the classics. For some, no other centrepiece could ever replace turkey, and who can blame them? You can stay as traditional as possible with a standard recipe or mix things up by adding some powerful flavours, such as rosemary and lemon.

The Vegan Christmas Dinner

The last thing you want at Christmas is for any of your guests to feel left out or go hungry (if that’s at all possible!). Meat and dairy products typically play such an important role in a Christmas dinner that you might think it’s impossible to find an equally tasty alternative, but there’s now more options than ever before. One of the most popular is a Vegan nut roast. Packed with nuts and veggies, it makes for a hearty, filling centrepiece for your meal.

The Vegetarian Christmas Dinner

Not having any meat can only mean one thing for your Christmas dinner – more cheese! On top of your traditional cheese board, give baked camembert a go this year. This doughball platter is perfect for sharing – Just rip, dip and enjoy! You can also replace the doughballs with your favourite crusty bread if you want to save a bit of time and effort.

Christmas Beef Wellington

Turkey might have taken the crown as the number one choice for Christmas dinner, but Beef Wellington is a close second. This classic steak dish is a real showstopper, acting as the perfect replacement for turkey if you do feel like trying something different this year, or if you fancy having both! This particular recipe incorporates English mustard, chestnut mushrooms and Parma ham.

Salmon Christmas Dinner

Salmon is usually enjoyed for breakfast or lunch on Christmas day, but this doesn’t mean it should be overlooked when it comes to dinner. Salmon en croute is similar to beef wellington in that the contents are stuffed and encased in a layer of pastry. Adding ginger and raisins provides a kick of flavour which will leave your guests blown away.
